Zostel Plus Panchgani is your luxury fix overlooking the rolling hills of Krishna Valley. Repurposed shipping containers, sprawling concrete structures, and refreshing pockets of nature mark the landscape of this hostel.

About Panchgani

Painting a picture of greens and blues alike, Panchgani is one of the most popular haunts for travellers and adventure seekers in the West. From a walk through the Kaas plateau to witness the tulips bloom to a visit to Mapro garden to get your hands on fresh strawberry produce, Panchgani keeps your eyes and stomachs happy. Adore the view from one of its many points or hike to a nearby hill with fellow Zostelers, there’s much to do around our spectacular container hostel of Panchgani!

Why we love Panchgani

With more viewpoints than you can cover in a day, pretty sunsets, and endless greenery in the monsoons, Panchgani is a simplistic travel destination that lures travellers for its views, food, and pacifying air.

There are two calming waterfalls in Panchgani, Bhilar and Lingmala. Walk through a canopy of thick trees and hike up a pretty trail to reach the soothing falls and spend a calming hour or two at each one to make the best of them.

During peak season, the farms on Panchgani are covered in a shade of dark pink, thanks to all the strawberries that are cultivated here! Visit the Mapro garden to catch up with breadmaking, strawberry farming, and a jolly good treat of farm-made pizzas and a strawberry cream dessert.

Fun Facts

A UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Kaas plateau is Maharashtra’s own valley of flowers. Spot 150 gorgeous species of flora, including Orchids, Kaas flowers, and even carnivorous plants! The best time to visit is between August & early October. It is around 50 km from Panchgani.

Every year during the Easter weekend (March/April), Mapro Garden offers free strawberries!

Moreover, 250 farmers open their strawberry farm to visitors for 4 days. Get ready to try innovative strawberry dishes and drown in all things strawberry while you’re there.

Travellers who know about the city stop at any of the market food joints for a filling Strawberry Milkshake. If you’re here, don’t forget to take home the refreshing fruit crushes and jams along with fresh fruits so generously available on the streets.
