Best Time to Visit to Manali
This completely depends on the kind of experience youâre looking for.
- If you want to soak in the best of Manali in pleasant weather with a comfortable temperature range of 5 to 20 degrees, then March to June is perfect for you. These are ideal months to enjoy a stroll on the Mall Road, plan hikes, and drink in the views.
- The monsoon season from July to September sees fewer crowds because of the possibility of landslides, but it is still a safe period to enjoy the lush greenery.
- The place looks no less than a wonderland in the winter months from October to February, when temperatures dip below freezing and snow joins the scenery. This is the time for skiing, snowboarding, and enjoying cosy evenings by the fireplace.

Manu Temple: Dedicated to Sage Manu, this architectural beauty is visited by tourists for its calm surroundings and pretty views.

Van Vihar: Located 1.5 km from Zostel Old Manali and lined with tall Deodar trees, this is a beautiful garden where you can enjoy a stroll and boating.

Himalayan Nyingmapa Buddhist Monastery: This Buddhist monastery is known for its architecture and tranquillity. Itâs a great place to practice meditation.

Jogini Falls: Trek through pretty pine trees and orchards to reach this marvellous cascading waterfall, which offers a mesmerising view of the Beas River. You can also enjoy a picnic here.

Vashisht Hot Springs: Situated in Vashisht Temple, a minute away from Zostel Manali (Vashisht), these natural hot springs are said to be loaded with minerals and are great for relaxing. You can also visit 2 nearby temples.

Baror Parsha Waterfall: A 40-minute hike to this less-explored, Instagram-worthy waterfall will treat you to scenic mountain views. You can also take a dip in the mini-pool at the waterfall.
Rohtang Pass: A heaven for trekkers, biking, and photography enthusiasts, this place is throbbing with tourists in winter who want to put on their boots and ski their way away. You can spot this place in a lot of Bollywood movies, too.
Solang Valley: In summer, this stunning valley attracts tourists who enjoy zorbing, paragliding, and horse riding. Come winter, it is covered in a thick sheet of snow and is a popular hub for snow activities.
Things to Do in Manali
Rafting: The mighty Beas River offers an exhilarating rafting experience in Manali. It is divided into two sections: from Manali to Jhiri and Pirdi to Jhiri. The fun rapids en route will keep you on your toes.
Bhrigu Lake: A trek to Bhrigu Lake will take you around four days. It will take you through picturesque alpine meadows and offer undisturbed views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges.

Bungee Jumping: An all-year-around activity, bungee jumping in Manali can be enjoyed in Kothi, located 14 km from Zostel Old Manali (Goshal Road).
Hampta Pass Trek: With the green valleys and wildflowers of Kullu on one side and the lofty mountains of Lahaul on the other, Hampta Pass is the Valley of Flowers of Himachal. The trek takes 6 days to complete.
