Day 1, 21 Sep ‘19
  • 12 pm- Arrive in Shimla and reach Hotel Rajat near CM House, Mall Road. This is where the fun begins!
  • 1 pm- You have the day to yourself. Check-in and go out to explore the bustling town of Shimla, with its colourful houses and lively market.
  • 8 pm- Come back to the hotel for itinerary briefing and get to know your travel squad over jamming and conversation.
  • 9 pm- Have a filling dinner at the hotel. A cosy bed awaits you for the night after that.
Day 2, 22 Sep ‘19
  • 8 am- Wake up early and enjoy a warm breakfast first thing in the morning, a long day awaits you.
  • 9 am- Check out and hit the road on the party bus to Chitkul. The ride will be memorable with all the laughter and intriguing views of the desert mountains and the deep gorge roads of Tranda. On your way, you’ll also explore popular towns like Sangla and Rakchham.
  • 7 pm- Reach Zostel Chitkul, check-in, and go straight for a hot dinner at the magical café with dreamy lights and a roof open to the vistas. You’ll be staying the night at the hostel.
Day 3, 23 Sep ‘19
  • 8 am- Start your day early on today with a warm breakfast at Zostel Chitkul.
  • 9 am- Today is quite adventurous, as you’re going hiking and rappelling! Hike up a hill and shake things up with a Yoga session up top. Post that, you’ll be taught the basics of rappelling and camping by an ex-Army professional! 
  • 2 pm- After 4-5 hrs of activity, rappel down your way from the hill.
  • 3 pm- You have the rest of the day free to relax, chatter, or explore. 
  • 7 pm- As the sun goes down, enjoy a movie in the common area and then head for a delicious dinner at the café. Crash into bed as soon as you want to.
Day 4, 24 Sep ‘19
  • 7 am- Have your breakfast at Zostel Chitkul and then bid goodbye to the gorgeous town.
  • 9 am- Leave for Tabo, yet another pretty town in the Spiti district holding ancient caves and the oldest monastery of the world.
  • 5 pm- After a mesmerizing ride through the barren brown and violet mountains of the Spiti Valley, reach ZostelX Tabo.
  • 7 pm- Relish a finger-licking home-cooked dinner at ZostelX Tabo. Chat up with the local hosts of the home and then resort to a sweet slumber.
Day 5, 25 Sep ‘19
  • 9 am- After a hearty breakfast made by the hosts, head out to visit the Tabo Monastery and the Meditations caves. 
  • 1 pm- The town of Kaza, where Zostel Spiti is located, is only a 45-min ride from Tabo, so board the cool bus for another interesting ride.
  • 2 pm- Visit the Kaza Market. Explore the rustic cafes, shop souvenirs, and be back by 5.30 pm.
  • 6 pm- Enjoy a volleyball match at Zostel Spiti.
  • 8 pm- Watch a movie, relax, have a filling dinner, and go to bed. You can wake up at 3 am to watch the stars!
Day 6, 26 Sep ‘19
  • 9 am- Welcome the morning with a warm breakfast.
  • 10 am- Visit Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Kibber, and the Key Monastery. You’ll be exploring the famous fossils, the grand Buddha statue, and the world’s highest post office today.
  • 6 pm- Once you’re back to Kaza, you have the next few hours to yourself. Chill in the market or at the hostel or go for a hike. 
  • 9 pm- Dinner is ready! Follow it up with a cosy sleep in your bunk bed.
Day 7, 27 Sep ‘19
  • 9 am- Have breakfast at Zostel Spiti and head out, an eventful day is planned out for you.
  • 10 am- Visit the Dhankhar Monastery and then drive till Mudh, the last village of the Pin Valley.
  • 6 pm- Come back to Kaza. Rest is leisure time! You can enjoy a game of Volleyball again. 
  • 7.30 pm- Be a part of a quick talk, where you’ll share your experience of the journey so far with fellow travellers. 
  • 9 pm- Enjoy dinner over some soothing live music at Zostel Spiti. Resort to bed after a day full of fun and memories.
Day 8, 28 Sep ‘19
  • 9 am- After a hot breakfast at Zostel Spiti board the ZoZo Bus back to Manali. On your way, you’ll be stopping at the popular Rohtang Pass for some pictures.
  • 6 pm- After a goodbye to the brilliant Spiti Valley and a fun ride across the small villages, reach Zostel Manali.
  • 7 pm-  Check-in and go out for café hopping (dinner on us!) and then explore the old Manali market to the fullest. 
  • 9 pm- You’ll be staying overnight at Zostel Manali.
Day 9, 29 Sep ‘19
  • 9 am- Have a hearty breakfast at Zostel Manali. It’s finally time to pack your bags.
  • 12 pm- Check-out from Zostel Manali, the trip ends here. Bid goodbye to your new travel folks, the pretty town, and get back to wherever you have to. Until next time, which we hope will be very soon!

  • Booking is subjected to weather conditions. Zostel won't be responsible for the cancellation of escape to unforeseen circumstances. The entire amount would be refunded for the same in case of cancellation due to bad weather.
  • A true backpacker is as punctual with their time as they are with their money. So, please don’t make fellow travellers wait.
  • Accommodation in hotels will be on a double-occupancy basis.
  • All the adventure activities will be done with and in the presence of certified professionals.
  • You’ll be asked to maintain silence during the hostel’s quiet hours, 10 pm to 6 am.
  • The trip starts in Shimla and ends at Zostel Manali.
  • Only one backpack per person is allowed, so pack light & only what’s necessary.
  • You’ll be travelling in a luxury Traveller, a 12-seater with multi-axle reclining seats.
  • Exclusions: All meals except those specified and personal expenses.
  • Your transport to Shimla and from Manali has to be arranged on your own.
  • Heart patients are not allowed to participate in this adventurous trip.
  • What to Carry - Only one backpack per person will be entertained- packing light is always a good idea! And since you’ll come across all kinds of weathers through your journey, make sure you have the following in it: A good pair of hiking shoes Caps/hats and a pair of sunglasses A rain cover and a raincoat/poncho A towel Adequate woollens and a jacket Thermal wear- 2 pairs of socks, fleeces, thermal pants and t-shirts
