Spiti valley, as part of the mighty Himalayas, is placed in a high altitude stretch with villages as high as 4500 meters. Looming behind these villages are gigantic peaks such as the infamous Shila, Gya, Chau Chau Kang Nilda which can be scaled only with technical prowess. Situated in these ranges is the Kanamo peak, also called The White Hostess, at a height of ~6000m. It is one of the highest trekkable peaks in the world which means one does not require any technical skills to scale up the summit and is ideal for trekking enthusiasts who want to soar up to high altitudes.
