If you found yourself stranded in the tangled wilderness of the mountains, would you be able to tough it out? Join Ex-Commando Indian Army Rescue Specialist, P.S. Negi on a weeklong adventure in the rugged Himalayan landscape of Chitkul as he trains you in trekking, camping, mountaineering, and everything in between. Date: 18th July
Start your weekend adventure with a hot breakfast and an introduction on Chitkul- the landscape and the culture, along with a briefing of the course. After a filling lunch, join in for an informative session on the basic survival tools. You’ll be taught how to make efficient use of ropes, knots, and hitches.
Head to a nearby mountain for camping. Today, you’ll learn about the mountainous flora and fauna- which to eat and which to stay away from. You’ll also learn how to cook for groups when on a trek. And when you reach the destination, gear up to make your own tent for the night!
Begin with a long hike back to Zostel Chitkul. After a warm meal, prep for campfire night. Exchange your experience and stories with fellow adventurers. And as the night sets in, bid goodbye to the beautiful Chitkul to head home.
