  • 2:30 Pm: - We leave for Kuldhara (Ghost Town) Village tour and reach there by 3:10 pm
  • 3:45 Pm: - Once we are done with sightseeing, we leave for Gamra ji ki Dhani and reach there by 4.15 pm
  • 4:25 Pm: - You can interact with locals here for couple of minutes, choose your own camel to ride upon and embark on the most sought-after Camel safari to the rich Thar Desert (Non-Touristic location)
  • 5:20 Pm: - You reach the Location before sunset, there you can mesmerize yourself with the view and calmness of the Thar.
  • 6:00 Pm: - You’ll be served evening Tea with snacks
  • 7:00 Pm: - Bonfire
  • 8:30 Pm: - Enjoy freshly prepared local dinner.
  • 8:30 pm --9:30 pm – Session 2 – Brief session on Night Sky Orientation -  North Star and Ursa Major and few major constellation hunts. 
  • 9:30 – 10:00 pm – Telescope observation of Orion, Betelgeuse, Pleiades, Beehive cluster, Sirius, Andromeda, and Winter Triangle with a lecture on connection with the universe. 
  • 10:00 – 10:30 pm – Tea Break with Dinner
  • 10:30 pm – 11:30pm – Session 3 – Geminid meteor shower observation and basic Astrophotography and StarTrail to capture the deep fantasy of sky through a lens. 
  • 12:00 – 05:30 am – Power Nap – Charge Yourself and Camera/Tablet/Mobile Batteries
  • 5:30 – 6:30 am – Session 4 – Live Moon, Jupiter, and Mars watching through a telescope
  • 7:00 – 7:30 am – Sunrise with Morning Sky observation. 
  • 7:30 Am: - Breakfast
  • 8:00 Am: - Camel Safari back to Gamra ji ki Dhani
  • 8:20 Am: - Leave for Jaisalmer
  • 9:30 Am: - Reach Jaisalmer


  • 2-3 hours astronomy session by 2 skilled instructors from SciComm for a batch of up to 30 guests in one go.
  • Creating the environment( location/time/setup) for an ideal sighting of the meteor shower
  • Tea and cookies once during the session (You have to get your own Thermoflasks/glasses)
  • Live Galaxies, Nebulas, planets, and satellites watch through telescope i.e Jupiter (with its moons),Mars,Saturn(with beautiful rings), Moon(with craters), Venus, Mars and few major constellations like Ursa major,Ursa minor, cassiopia, Orion, geminid etc with use of proper telescope
  • A Brief session on cosmology and universe through high power laser.
  • Night sky photography of with milky way Galaxies and Nebulas(dim view).
  • Cosmic meditation in open sky with sound.
  • Virtual tour of the sky with VR GLASS.
  • Geminids meteor shower instructions and live tracking techniques with the camera.
  • In winters esp we can see Orion nebula and milky-way which is a fantasy watch for any person living on earth.
  • A digital handout with all the information.
  • Group picture with the galaxy (on favorable condition).

  • LEAVE NO TRACE POLICY: To minimize waste production we will be follwing of LNT
  • 1. Carry enough warm clothing (particularly to keep your ears, body and feet warm) like scarf, sweaters, hood jackets, skull caps, shawls/sheets, closed shoes (mandatory). (Temp in Night will dip considerably 16-18 degree C).
  • 2. It is advisable to carry your own bedding blanket/satranji /tarpaulin sheet and air pillow.
  • 3. We recommend that participants stock themselves with light snacks (Biscuits, Chips & Chocolate and Personal Water bottle ½ Litre (Mandatory) - (need to drink water regularly to avoid dehydration and headache).
  • 4. Carry a Small Torch (covered with Red Cellophane paper) with an extra pair of batteries.
  • 5. It is advisable to carry your personal medication (if any) and mosquito repellent cream.
  • 6. All baggage’s to be wrapped in plastic bags to avoid getting wet (dew).
  • 7. For astrophotography, the participant should bring in their own DSLR Camera, Tripod, Remote, Charger and Extra Battery.
  • 8. It goes without saying that littering at the camp-site is not permissible and we will be making arrangements for garbage bin that can be put to their optimum use.
  • 9. Carry an extra pair of umbrella/raincoat/wear sports/trekking shoes.
  • 10. Use of mobile phone and camera with flash is to be minimal as possible or AS INSTRUCTED BY THE INSTRUCTORS/ORGANIZERS during the Observation Sessions.
  • 11. Do not flash bright torch or camera flash on others during observation sessions. The human eye requires 30 minutes to completely adapt to the dark night sky.
  • 12. In case you are carrying your own observation instrument like telescopes, binoculars, tripods stands, imaging equipment (DSLR Camera and accessories) etc., you yourself are responsible for all your equipment.
